Simply Beautiful Music

… In fairness, it must be said that another musical event was also received enthusiastically by the public: a day earlier, in the Armorial Hall of the Main House of the Nizhny Novgorod Fair, Rachmaninoff’s “All-Night Vigil” was performed. The performers were the student choir of the Nizhny Novgorod Conservatory, the choir school and the boys’ chapel; the soloists were Lyubov Dudoladova and Sergei Perminov; the conductor was People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Lev Sivukhin.

Unfortunately, even music lovers and regular visitors to serious concerts are little acquainted with this gold-bearing layer of truly Russian culture. That is why such musical evenings are especially dear, and one wants to thank everyone warmly for this joy as well.
