The Jury for the A. M. Gorky Prizes

The jury awarding the annual A. M. Gorky prizes of the Gorky regional organisation of the USSR Union of Journalists has finished accepting entries for 1975. Primary organisations, newspaper editorial offices, the Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting and the Volga-Vyatka Book Publishing House have submitted the works of the following journalists for the A. M. Gorky Prize, in order of receipt:

1. Luginin A. A. – the book “Along the Lenin Sites of the City of Gorky”, publications in “Gorkovsky Rabochy” on the same subject and broadcasts on Gorky television.

2. Batakov V. E. – the book “Ivan Chugurin” from the series “Nizhny Novgorodians – Revolutionaries”, Volga-Vyatka Book Publishing House, 1975.

3. Marash M. Kh., Bliznetsov V. S. – the documentary television film “Three from the Forge”, Gorky Television Studio, 1975.

4. Gritskov G. A. – a series of articles in “Gorkovskaya Pravda” on scientific and technological progress.

5. Orlov S. A. – the book “N. Dobrolyubov in Nizhny Novgorod”, Volga-Vyatka Book Publishing House, 1975.

6. Sukhareva T. F. – materials on a moral and ethical theme in “Gorkovsky Rabochy”, sub-section “Drawing Room”, page “Good Evening”, 28 November, 4, 19 and 31 December.

7. Fedorov V. V., Shamshurin V. A. – a cycle of essays in “Leninskaya Smena”, “The Finest Hour of the Komsomol – the Building of the BAM”.

8. Bespalov Yu. B. – the television film “Voices and Colours”, Gorky Television Studio, 1975.

9. Kiselev V. P. – the monograph “Ideological Work of Party Organisations Among Home-Front Workers in the Years of the Great Patriotic War” and the booklet “Labour in the Name of Victory”, Volga-Vyatka Book Publishing House, 1975.

The jury asks journalists, writers, public correspondents, and all readers and television viewers to send, by 20 March, their opinions of these works to the address: Gorky, N-6, 32 Figner Street, Union of Journalists. \nThe works can be seen in the library, reading rooms and press offices.
